DOG EXERCISE

All dogs need a certain amount of exercise. There are a number of reasons why, and many of those reasons are the same reasons that people need to exercise. We need to move, and we need to burn calories. If we do not, we then develop a surplus which turns into weight gain. This is why some people can only eat such a small amount of food yet still gain weight. Many of these people lack the movement and proper exercise.

But what happens when a person exercises is that they begin to build lean body mass from the building of the muscles. This increase in lean body mass provides the individual with a number of things, but one thing that is very important is a leaner person burns more calories than a person with more body fat.

The other thing that is great about exercise is that it gets the heart rate up. Once the heart rate increased, an individual can burn even more calories.
