YOUR VOICE

Believe it or not, the tone of your voice can play a major role in correcting your dog. Once you understand the tone of voice to use, it can work especially good with almost every type of dog. The one main thing you need to be aware of is the type of personality of dog you are training.

Here are a few examples:

If you are teaching a high strung or dog that is a little out of control, you can afford to be a little louder, or even have a little more firmness in the tones of your voice.

But if you are teaching a dog that is a little soft and shy, you really do not need to be that loud or have near the firmness in the tone. Your normal voice tone might just work fine. Remember, that just raising your voice with a very soft and timid dog could really jeopardize your relationship with your dog. Be aware of your the tone of your voice with these types of dogs.
